Telling my partner I lost my job

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a project coordinator. I worked as a project coordinator before this. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. What did you say?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
