Telling my partner I lost my job (Boston)

I was laid off 8 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. It has been a long 8 weeks. I want a plan before I speak. What did you say?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
