Telling my partner I lost my job - any advice?

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a copywriter. I worked as a copywriter before this. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team.

Shame is common after a layoff even when it is not your fault. Saying it out loud to one person first helped me.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
