Telling my partner I lost my job after 13 years as a call-centre agent

I have been leaving the house at the same time each day so my kids do not notice. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. What did you say?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
