Telling my partner I lost my job - 6 weeks in

I have been leaving the house at the same time each day so my kids do not notice. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. Did it get easier afterwards?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
