Telling my partner I lost my job - 6 months and counting

I have been leaving the house at the same time each day so my kids do not notice. I worked as an operations analyst before this. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet. How did you handle it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
