Telling my partner I lost my job - 3 weeks in

I was laid off 3 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. It has been weighing on me all week. I want a plan before I speak. How did you handle it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
