My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a project coordinator. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. Did it get easier afterwards?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Shame is common after a layoff even when it is not your fault. Saying it out loud to one person first helped me.
