Telling my partner I lost my job

I was laid off 10 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I want a plan before I speak.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I told my partner the same evening with a simple plan: what happened, what I was doing and what I needed. It was a relief.
