Telling my partner I lost my job - 2 weeks in

I was laid off 2 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I want a plan before I speak.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
