Telling my partner I lost my job

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a web developer. It has been weighing on me all week. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team.

Do not wait until a bill surprises them. The longer it goes, the harder it gets.

Shame is common after a layoff even when it is not your fault. Saying it out loud to one person first helped me.
