Telling my partner I lost my job - 16 weeks in

I was laid off 16 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
