Telling my partner I lost my job - 10 months and counting

I was laid off 10 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Do not wait until a bill surprises them. The longer it goes, the harder it gets.
