Telling my partner I lost my job

I was laid off 9 weeks ago and have not told my family because I do not want them to worry. I worked as a school bus driver before this. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
