Should I negotiate my severance? - what worked for you?

I was offered 3 weeks of severance after 3 years as a mechanic, and I have a few days to sign. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. Should I see a lawyer?

Read the release carefully. Mine included things I did not expect, like a non-compete.
