Should I negotiate my severance?, nurse's aide here

I was offered 12 weeks of severance after 12 years as a nurse's aide, and I have a few days to sign. It has been a long 4 weeks. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. What did you ask for?

I asked for two more weeks and a neutral reference. They agreed to the reference and added a week.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
