Should I negotiate my severance?, line cook here

I was offered 16 weeks of severance after 16 years as a line cook, and I have a few days to sign. It has been a long 5 weeks. There is a non-disparagement clause. What did you ask for?

An hour with an employment lawyer cost me a small fee and made me feel much safer about signing.
