Should I negotiate my severance? - first time posting

I was offered 12 weeks of severance after 12 years as an HR coordinator, and I have a few days to sign. Any experience at all would help. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
