Should I negotiate my severance? - any advice?

I was offered 14 weeks of severance after 14 years as a security officer, and I have a few days to sign. It has been a long 4 weeks. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. Should I see a lawyer?

Read the release carefully. Mine included things I did not expect, like a non-compete.
