Should I negotiate my severance? - 2 weeks in

The company sent a severance agreement with a release of claims, and I am unsure what to do. Thank you in advance. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

An hour with an employment lawyer cost me a small fee and made me feel much safer about signing.
