Should I negotiate my severance? - 10 weeks in

I was offered 4 weeks of severance after 4 years as a procurement assistant, and I have a few days to sign. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

Read the release carefully. Mine included things I did not expect, like a non-compete.

I asked for two more weeks and a neutral reference. They agreed to the reference and added a week.
