Severance offer, what should I ask for? (Toledo)

The company sent a severance agreement with a release of claims, and I am unsure what to do. It has been weighing on me all week. There is a non-disparagement clause. What did you ask for?

Ask for the offer in writing and do not sign on the spot. A day or two to think is normal.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
