I was offered 6 weeks of severance after 6 years as a quality inspector, and I have a few days to sign. Any experience at all would help. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. What did you ask for?

An hour with an employment lawyer cost me a small fee and made me feel much safer about signing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
