Severance offer, what should I ask for? after 6 years as a retail manager

I was offered 6 weeks of severance after 6 years as a retail manager, and I have a few days to sign. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. Did anyone negotiate and succeed?
