Severance offer, what should I ask for? after 12 years as a paralegal

I was offered 12 weeks of severance after 12 years as a paralegal, and I have a few days to sign. It has been a long 11 weeks. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

An hour with an employment lawyer cost me a small fee and made me feel much safer about signing.
