Severance offer, what should I ask for? - 4 weeks in

I was offered 5 weeks of severance after 5 years as a bookkeeper, and I have a few days to sign. It has been a long 4 weeks. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

An hour with an employment lawyer cost me a small fee and made me feel much safer about signing.
