Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - what worked for you?

I was offered 16 weeks of severance after 16 years as a software tester, and I have a few days to sign. It has been a long 10 weeks. It includes health coverage for a couple of months.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
