Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - what worked for you?

I was offered 8 weeks of severance after 8 years as an insurance claims processor, and I have a few days to sign. There is a non-disparagement clause.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
