Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - what worked for you?

I was offered 5 weeks of severance after 5 years as a pharmacy technician, and I have a few days to sign. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. There is a non-disparagement clause. Should I see a lawyer?

Ask for the offer in writing and do not sign on the spot. A day or two to think is normal.
