Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - what worked for you?

I was offered 9 weeks of severance after 9 years as an insurance claims processor, and I have a few days to sign. I am in Honolulu, in case local advice matters. I do not want to leave money on the table. Did anyone negotiate and succeed?

Read the release carefully. Mine included things I did not expect, like a non-compete.
