Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - what worked for you?

I was offered 9 weeks of severance after 9 years as a security officer, and I have a few days to sign. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. There is a non-disparagement clause. Did anyone negotiate and succeed?

Read the release carefully. Mine included things I did not expect, like a non-compete.
