Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - first time posting

I was offered 6 weeks of severance after 6 years as a medical assistant, and I have a few days to sign. I am in Richmond, in case local advice matters. There is a non-disparagement clause. What did you ask for?

Ask for the offer in writing and do not sign on the spot. A day or two to think is normal.
