Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion

I was offered 9 weeks of severance after 9 years as a quality inspector, and I have a few days to sign. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Read the release carefully. Mine included things I did not expect, like a non-compete.
