Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion (Boston)

I was offered 7 weeks of severance after 7 years as a sales associate, and I have a few days to sign. Any experience at all would help. I do not want to leave money on the table. Should I see a lawyer?

An hour with an employment lawyer cost me a small fee and made me feel much safer about signing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
