Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - 8 months and counting

I was offered 13 weeks of severance after 13 years as an insurance claims processor, and I have a few days to sign. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. It includes health coverage for a couple of months.

Ask for the offer in writing and do not sign on the spot. A day or two to think is normal.
