Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - 5 months and counting

I was offered 18 weeks of severance after 18 years as a dental hygienist, and I have a few days to sign. I have been trying to stay organised about it. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. What did you ask for?

Ask for the offer in writing and do not sign on the spot. A day or two to think is normal.
