Severance agreement arrived, need a second opinion - 13 months and counting

The company sent a severance agreement with a release of claims, and I am unsure what to do. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. It includes health coverage for a couple of months. Should I see a lawyer?

Ask for the offer in writing and do not sign on the spot. A day or two to think is normal.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
