Rough week after the layoff, anyone else? - any advice?

I sent 18 applications and heard nothing back, and I am running low on energy. I am in Hartford, in case local advice matters. I do not want to burden my family. What helps you on bad days?

Many counselling centres have sliding-scale rates. I found one through 211, and it made a difference.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
