Rough week after the layoff, anyone else? - any advice?

I sent 17 applications and heard nothing back, and I am running low on energy. I am in Buffalo, in case local advice matters. I am sleeping badly and snapping at people. Did it pass?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
