Rough week after the layoff, anyone else? after 17 years as a medical assistant

I have been out of work for 18 weeks and this week has been the hardest. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working. What helps you on bad days?

Many counselling centres have sliding-scale rates. I found one through 211, and it made a difference.
