Rough week after the layoff, anyone else? - 2 months and counting

I sent 3 applications and heard nothing back, and I am running low on energy. I am in St. Louis, in case local advice matters. I do not want to burden my family. What helps you on bad days?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
