Plant closing and notice period questions - what worked for you?

Our team was told about a closure date that is 23 weeks away. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some colleagues are already leaving. Has anyone been through this?

I stayed for the retention bonus and looked for work on the side. It cushioned the gap.
