Plant closing and notice period questions, office manager here

I received a formal notice about a mass layoff at my workplace. It has been a long 24 weeks. Some colleagues are already leaving. Has anyone been through this?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
