Plant closing and notice period questions - first time posting

I received a formal notice about a mass layoff at my workplace. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. They offered a retention bonus for people who stay. Has anyone been through this?

Write down key dates and keep copies of the notice. Mine helped when a question came up later.
