Plant closing and notice period questions - first time posting

I received a formal notice about a mass layoff at my workplace. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some colleagues are already leaving. Has anyone been through this?

I stayed for the retention bonus and looked for work on the side. It cushioned the gap.
