Plant closing and notice period questions - 6 months and counting

Our team was told about a closure date that is 7 weeks away. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some colleagues are already leaving. Has anyone been through this?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
