Making savings last after losing my job - what worked for you?

I have 14 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a medical assistant. Any experience at all would help. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. Did any lender work with you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
