Making savings last after losing my job (update)

I have 8 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a mechanic. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
