My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. Any experience at all would help. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
