Making savings last after losing my job (update)

We are a household of 11 and need to cut costs quickly. It has been a long 20 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $200 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
